Center for Excellence in Long-Term Care

The Center for Excellence in Long-Term Care is a collaborative partnership of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). The Center is a best practice institute intended to facilitate the identification, development and replication of best practices in long-term care, including those in a managed care context.

Center for Patient-Centered Interventions

Located in the School of Nursing, the Center for Patient-Centered Interventions (CPCI) supports nursing research related to the design and testing of health-promoting, patient-centered interventions. Researchers at the CPCI are interested in a variety of populations, from teens to elders, and studies focus on issues ranging from healthy groups seeking to enhance well-being to persons who are facing end-of-life decisions. The center receives core funding from the NIH and provides opportunities for pre- and postdoctoral training as well as for pilot funding for faculty who have devised more innovative and promising studies in the area of patient-centered interventions.
