Meet the TeamLori Anderson, PhD, RN, CPNP
Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing and eSchoolCare Project Director
UW–Madison School of Nursing
Lori Anderson has a broad background in school nursing—first as a school nurse, and then as the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction school nursing consultant. She also serves as an interdisciplinary team faculty member of the MCHB-funded Pediatric Pulmonary Center at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Her extensive survey work with school nurses and parents caring for children with chronic conditions led her to the idea for this project. Further work with technology-enhanced nursing education gave rise to the grant proposal to use iPads in the context of school nursing.
Nicole Crain brings a background in Child and Family Studies from UW–Madison to the eSchoolCare project. She has experience coordinating programs and managing the operations of several early-learning centers. In addition, she has taught courses in early childhood as adjunct faculty for Northcentral Technical College. As a member of the Rowland Reading Foundation, she supported teachers and staff in a reading pilot study to develop a core reading program for pre-kindergarten to second-grade students.
