Continuing Education

Join the thousands of nurses who have called upon UW-Madison's School of Nursing to meet their continuing professional development needs. With more than 50 years of service, we take pride in keeping nurses in all practice areas informed, up-to-date, and competitive across the nation.

The Center for Professional Development and Outreach (PDO) awards ANCC Contact Hours and UCEA CEUs for completion of its continuing education programs. Registrants receive their certification of completion either at the end of a program or by mail after the activity is finished.

The Contact Hour and CEU do not provide credit toward an academic degree. Nurses who wish to enroll for coursework carrying formal academic credit should contact a degree granting nursing program.
