The Center for Aging Research and Education
Transforming health care for older adults
The UW–Madison School of Nursing’s Center for Aging Research and Education (CARE) was created in response to the critical need for nurses as our country’s population ages. Through nursing leadership, discovery, education and practice, CARE improves the health and well-being of older adults.
We support innovative research and teaching strategies, develop relevant and accessible resources for practicing nurses, and collaboratively engage health care professionals, formal and informal care providers, and community organizations—all to foster a new understanding of aging and the role of geriatric nursing.
